Bump, Birth and Beyond

Private Antenatal, Homebirth and Postnatal care up to 6 weeks

This package is perfect for the woman wishing to have continuity of care across the whole spectrum, including planned homebirth.

After referral from your GP in early pregnancy The Village Way can provide:

Antenatal Care:

• Introductory and booking visit lasting up to 2hr

• 8 Antenatal appointments (approx. 60-90 minutes)

• Birth plan meeting attended by two Midwives planned to be at your birth

• 24/7 text/phone and email support.

Birth care:

• On call for your birth

• Birth attendance by two Midwives

• Birth pool/TENS machine hire

• Post birth care until you are ready to be tucked into bed with your new family!

• In the event hospital becomes the safest place to birth, your Midwife will transfer with you and take on a supportive/advocacy role

Post birth care:

• Up to 6 visits

• Breastfeeding and transition to motherhood support

• 24hr phone/text/email support continues until discharge

The Village Way can order your blood tests, ultrasounds, some medications, specialist referrals and post birth tests.

Care can be provided in the comfort of your own home. A travel fee will apply beyond 45 minutes. Antenatal appointments can be provided at my home to avoid a travel fee.

Private Midwives are Medicare eligible and attract a rebate on antenatal and postnatal care. Homebirth and private hospital support does not attract a Medicare rebate and is an out-of-pocket cost. 

Bump and Beyond Package

Private antenatal and postnatal care up to 6 weeks

This package is ideal for the woman wanting continuity of care with a known care provider but wishes to birth in hospital.

After referral from your GP in early pregnancy The Village Way can provide:

Antenatal Care:

• Introductory and booking visit lasting up to 2hr

• 8 Antenatal appointments (approx. 60 minutes)

• Birth planning/preferences session

• Liaising care and handover to your chosen place of birth

• 24hr phone/text/email support

Post Birth care:

• Up to 6 visits until six weeks postpartum

• Breastfeeding and transition to motherhood support

• 24hr text/email support. Each appointment will be 60 minutes

The Village Way can order your Blood tests, ultrasounds, some medications, specialist referrals and post birth tests.

Care can be provided in the comfort of your own home or at my home.

Private Midwives are Medicare eligible and attract a rebate on antenatal and postnatal care provided.
